No place better represents the true nature of the Mediterranean as well as the Aeolian Islands with their blend of fire sea and earth; the “Sciare di fuoco” (fire slides) of Stromboli and the mud baths of Vulcano recall the origin of the islands. The depths surrounding the archipelago are home to a great variety of marine life, from dolphins to whales and sperm whales. The island of Panarea is green, trendy, alternative, irreverent and lives only at night. The remote Filicudi, Alicudi and Ginostra islands have no electricity and enjoy their wilderness secured by an untainted sun. In the center of the archipelago Lipari and Salina ensure secure moorings with elegant and sophisticated seaside villages.
